Pros

Base salary is decent. Great healthcare benefits.

Cons

If you want to work for a "Good Ole Boy" company then you have found the winning ticket with Insperity! Discrimination, harassment, high pressure, endless training that is redundant and has NOTHING to do with your actual job, no leads, no marketing, other than old school brochures that you deliver by hand, over priced product that very few are buying, and competition is ridiculous. You have to dress up like it's the 1960's way of business, suite and tie style. Expect to be on call or working from 6 a.m. til 10 p.m. They offer you freedom to come and go, but in reality, it is an excuse to get rid of you for "lack of performance" in the end. They tell you that it is “your” business but they also won't let you close a deal without a Sr. BPA getting half of your commissions for 10 minutes worth of work. The turnover rate is obscene. They talk a good game, but unless you drink the kool aid and work 12 hours a day, praise Insperity constantly, and donate all of your time and money, you will be disposed of quickly. I could swear they are just data mining and could care less about real sales. The fact that they are an HR company is probably the biggest irony of working there. You will be competing with your fellow piers and the few that have made it there will cut your throat in a heartbeat. Don't be fooled by their demeanor! Your co workers are ruthless and have survived there because they are cunning, slick tongued and manipulative. Don't expect to make friends, only enemies. The very limited amount of nice people that work there usually drink their dinner or take meds to survive as long as they can just to get their paycheck. Survival of the fittest at Insperity! Management is full of over paid puppets. If you do work there, go into management only. It's a very cush job for total idiots. You just have to play along. Don't expect any help from your manager to close a client or deal with the problems that will occur with your colleagues. They are too good for that, and, are either on the golf course or out of the office. They do, however, plan meetings for the sake of meetings. I especially love the 8 a.m. Monday Morning Meetings that serve no purpose. Management is so redundant that I could tell you what my manager was going to say before he said it. There isn't an original idea to be had and they like it that way. You are a number for the shareholders and they will tell you that. There are so many conflicts of communication between training and your manager and the Sr. BPA's that by the time you figure out how to do your job, it's over! Turn over is obscene there. I wouldn't wish this job on ANYONE!

Pros

Working for Insperity gave me a clear understanding of what a caustic sales environment looks like. Since then I have been able to steer clear of companies like Insperity.

Cons

Inside sales sweat shop that was pitched as an outside sales role with the ability to make $200K+. Nothing could be further from the truth. The top rep in the office I worked in made $92K. The product/service it self is a grossly overpriced scam that leads small business to believe they are making a smart cost efficient purchase and again, nothing could be further from the truth. My local management believed that verbally abusing reps in front of their peers was a good way to motivate. It was horrible place to work and the 18 months I was there took a substantial toll on my confidence. Since leaving there, I have exceeded quota each year at my new company and have made $125K, $147K and $178K in the 3 years since. I wasn't the problem, Insperity and their horrible management style was the problem.
