Pros

They are willing to throw money at projects, so if there’s something you’re interested in working on the funding is generally available. However if your project requires travel you’re out of luck.

Cons

The U.S. branch of this company has very little respect or compassion for their employees. It’s all business and backwards policies that have a negative impact on employee wellbeing. The management culture is dominated by white British males who have very little respect for the individual employee. The business comes first,

Pros

Some product lines doing very well despite poor quality (Range Rover Sport, Range Rover). Strong cult following, though most of those people would never buy new.

Cons

This company is in shambles. From the way they service customers to the way they care for employees. Extremely frugal leadership team puts profits above all else. Most employees work hard to do the right thing and they are met with constant bureaucratic processes - sent on chases for data or information that is impossible to capture with the antiquated systems. The company's intelligence is contained in Excel spreadsheets or Google documents. Promotions (opportunities come about very seldomly) are rigged, raises/bonuses are stingy, and politics drives everything. Seems to be a place where mediocre talent, both leaders and employees, come to die. Instead of motivating subordinates managers simply try to indoctrinate them into the stagnant work environment. Global CEO is always painting a picture of doom and gloom in every mass email. The Global office in England has a large amount of egomaniacs, spewing their opinions as if it's the truth, most of whom have never even stepped foot in a dealer in North America. There is no strategy - product, sales or marketing - no one has a clear and articulate message for the future except "Sell more cars."

Pros

Decent thing to put on resume.

Cons

The place is filled with people who are full of themselves. Constantly having to work in an environment where people are either trash talking coworkers or upper management is not a place anyone should need to be. It's an uncomfortable environment, the work culture is boring/sad, and no matter how hard you work nobody cares.
