Terrible Structure, No clear direction

Pros

Basic insurance and benefits. They have a company outing every year that is pretty nice.

Cons

The business development team is extremely inept. Their strategy is to respond to multiple RFPs without doing any shaping which results in low PWin and ultimately a proposal loss. The proposal team gets blamed that they didn't write a good enough proposal and when the proposal team does write a RFP that wins, the BD representatives that did 0 work get majority of the bonuses. The BD team asks others to do capability matrixes for opportunities because they don't know how to do the bare minimum for their position.

Pros

Felt like: solid specialty in small contract bids and work. Great source of experience for new laborers in the IT field. A company that recognizes competent workers and in-turn will reward you with job security. - Friendly, hard-working, and responsive staff - Recognition and praise for a job well done - Recognition of skilled workers - First day, casual lunch with Project Manager/Supervisor - Hands-off management based on trust for the most part (a privilege you earn to keep) - Healthcare plans were a variety of Carefirst choices with 0 deductibles for most common/basic services. Copays for common services ranging from $15-$35 per visit. Average for max out-of-pocket costs.

Cons

Felt like: small-to-low-medium sized company with a budget that'll struggle to retain its best employees to competing companies after year one. - Salaries generally range from low-to-average in comparison to similar market salaries & experience in the area - Typical 3 weeks (15 days) of PTO accrual per year - Company parties were all small family-oriented activities, cheap get-aways - No bonuses, maybe giftcard reward, likely a nice thank you card and/or edible treat - Healthcare plan premiums were average-medium - Dental premium was average - Vision benefits and premium was average

Going downhill

Pros

Opportunity to work for great clients. Company medical benefits. Diversity. Salary. Teams usually stick together although happening less with new management.

Cons

New COO. What use to be a great company has drastically turned. Now only concerned with profits. Employee satisfaction has noticeably gone down in the past year. New management is untrustworthy. Working overtime is expected with no recognition or compensation. I now have to give the CEO a poor rating since he has allowed the COO to diminish employee happiness.

LCG Inc. Response

Thank you for taking the time to share your perspective. We do aim to provide every client with top notch service and superior results, and sometimes that requires extra hours and effort beyond the 9 to 5 workday. We also aim to compensate employee dedication to client needs with performance bonuses, incentive pay, and a rewards system for those who have gone above and beyond in their duties. In fact, anyone in the company can make a nomination for these rewards (e.g. GEM Awards) in multiple performance categories. Simply contact HR and they can send you a nomination form. You are correct that the company is its people, and as a commitment to that ideal, we encourage communication regarding areas of improvement. LCG provides multiple avenues for such communication including an employee suggestion box through a third-party vendor (should you wish to remain anonymous), regular roundtable calls with the COO that provide an open forum for discussion of issues important to staff and the company, and an open door policy for direct access to all management at all levels. We stand ready to answer questions and address employee needs, and ask that you reach out directly via any of these channels with specifics so that we can better assess any issues and take appropriate measures to address them.
