Not Awful

Pros

The microbiology lab was shifting quite a bit at the time, current supervisors are phenomenal, the ones that hired me on were not great but they moved on and out. Lots of OT, fast-paced environment, but I enjoyed most of my co-workers.

Cons

The shifts available in the micro lab made it hard to maintain life outside of work, supervisors understood but it was the way the company ran and there wasn't any way to change it. But hey! It's Eurofins now!

Pros

Shift differential was somewhat acceptable but hourly rate was subpar.

Cons

No leadership, shallow relationship between managerial staff and hourly workers, terribly long hours due to mandatory overtime without support. Only allowed a 30 minute break which is up to you to take when you please. Office people leave by 3pm and only people in the lab are the associates. 3 people who start at 3pm are in charge of closing up the lab in addition to preparing samples and doing QC/retain and decontamination no matter how late you have to stay. Extremely toxic place to work. College grads, don't fall for it. Get a better job elsewhere, they take advantage of the energy you have and use all they can get.
