If you are in US engineering and not in Houston, assume that you are in a position until a better one comes along. All actual engineering is forced to Germany. All promotions and focus is on Houston US office. Major problem is that Germany fails actually do engineering and instead just looks at what they did the last time and repeats it.

Culture is terrible. They have signs and marketing throughout their offices that claim they are a diverse and inclusive employer. That is not only a red flag that there is a problem, but it is false. There are hardly any women that are in mid level leadership roles (area sales roles) or that have business development roles (engineering), etc., which is a big problem for Prax. Clearly, they don’t have a work culture that truly is about hiring the best, most diverse candidates and growing them, because that is not overly visible in the employee pool. You don’t see many people get promoted, either. If you are a motivated professional, look elsewhere. This company has a toxic culture that will not get you where you want to be. They also treat their customers poorly and only care about the bottom line. Unfortunately, nothing will change without a major shake up in leadership.
