Pros

Pros but not really about Logic. Met some pretty amazing co-workers that were stuck in the same situation I was. Most worked hard and were down to earth. Some was so burnt out that they wanted to cruise. Can't blame them after the Logic treatment. Logic did a good job hiring them and a terrible job trying to retain them. The only reason I stuck around is because of my client. My client cared more for my career growth than my company.

Cons

Join Logic if you enjoy…. • Kool-aid. Yes Kool-aid. Get ready to drink lots of it because there is NOTHING this company values more than their employees drinking this stuff for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Don’t kid yourself though, even if you drink lots of it, don’t think you will be part of the cool kids club. This company expects unwavering loyalty but in return will throw you out when it serves their purpose. They view everyone is expendable. • Career suicide at a firm that cares more about their bottomline than their consultants career growth. • Being reviewed by managers and directors that you have never worked with a day in your life and be punished career-wise because they review you by their own perception of you instead of factual evidence. • Taking on 3 full-time jobs at the same time. First will be your project that you are expected to go above and beyond for you client and clock over-time for and not be paid a single penny for. Second job you will have is the extra internal initiatives you will need to participate in to show your dedication to the company. Third job you will have is to market yourself 24/7 and be as loud as possible about your achievements. Even if you didn’t actually do much to contribute, as long as you are loud about it, they will reward you for it. • Being undervalued by the firm and placed in projects that a monkey can do with a day of training. Logic is big on talking about complex and exciting projects but truthfully, they get 1 or 2 of those projects a year and its always given to those they trust the most. The rest of the firm will get staff aug projects that will rot your brain. • Having the least approachable managers that expect you to bend over backwards for them but when you need help at any point, will pull rank and try to pawn it back off on you. • Getting reminded that you will never be enough for the firm and you will have to prove yourself over and over again but not be rewarded even if you have proven yourself multiple times. Lots of my colleagues are stuck in a position where they are doing amazing work with their clients but Logic lacks to recognize their actual value. • Compensation that is below market standards and gives out raises that is below the yearly inflation rate. • When things are spoken in confidence to your managers or directors, it will be used against you. Its impressive how many backstabbing individuals there are at this company. Even if you show an ounce of realness and honesty, make sure you bucket in because you are in for the ride of your life. • Having a sales team that focuses on how they look and how many cold calls or meetings they have set up instead of learning the capabilities of the consulting group they need to sell. It is laughable that Logic gives so much credit to the sales team when the consultants that are on the ground working are the ones that are bringing in extra work and project expansions. • Empty promises from leadership. Lots of them. Get ready to be more disappointed than the GoT finale. • Rigged consultant satisfaction surveys. Logic carries out these surveys for the consulting body to take to see what them as a company is lacking and how to improve. Well if you rigged the results, you will never improve. The consulting body talks and lets just say most if not all included compensation as their top 3 on things they would like to see improved. Funny that during the all hands meeting, compensation was listed near the bottom. • Letting people take advantage of you and your work. Those above you will take credit to your work and you can say nothing about it. It’s interesting to read all the comments in Logic 2020’s reviews because all the ones that are honest are 1-2 stars while all the ones that are 5 stars is just a marketing ploy that is done by their sales and marketing team to boost their awful rating. If you want to really understand how working at logic is, do not trust the 5 star ratings. Take a look at the ones with 1-2 stars and you will see how working for this firm is actually like. I don’t expect the firm to reply to this review but incase that you do. Please spare us the theatrics. We are not in the acting business, but if we were, this firm will get 100% on Rotten Tomato or IMDB. This review corroborates with many other reviews on this forum. What I have said has been echoed by many and will continue to be echoed by consultants to come. Quit playing games and step up.

Thank you for taking time to provide your input! We agree with you that there are some amazing humans working at Logic, and we’re grateful that they’ve chosen to remain on our team even though they may recognize that we’re not perfect. We’re also grateful for the collaborative spirit you mention where our consultants work hand-in-hand with our sales team to propose and staff the projects we’re fortunate enough to land. We agree that there are other companies out there that pay more than we do, and that will always be true. Other points in your review, though, aren’t accurate and should be corrected. For instance, the comment about rigged surveys. That’s absolutely not the case. We report the results we get, not a sanitized version. While it can be humbling to read some of the comments, we value them and recognize that our employees are doing exactly what we’ve asked them to do – be honest with us. And we use the responses in those surveys to modify aspects of our work environment when we can. Also, the remarks about our performance review process are misleading. As a reminder, performance reviews are a collaborative effort that involve your own self-review, feedback from peers you select yourself, and input from your project lead and career manager. Managers and directors are involved, but the bulk of the content comes from people closely aligned to your work product. We could continue to argue your points, but at the end of the day, your experience with us hasn’t been positive and it’s good for us to know that. We appreciate reviews like yours – we read them carefully, try to find the parts we can realistically solve, and work hard to find a solution. We don’t always get it right, but we’re open to the conversation and appreciate your efforts to make Logic a better place to work. Stay safe out there!

A Complete Façade - Top Heavy and Staff Aug

Pros

There are many good people there, particularly amongst the consulting ranks. Focused customer service amongst the consultants. Good stomping ground for junior people cutting their teeth in basic staff aug roles.

Cons

Where to begin? Tremendous amount of infighting amongst the top ranks. Claiming to offer consulting when mostly selling basic staff aug. Sales team that knows almost nothing about consulting and just pushes the least common denominator (i.e., staff aug). Selling clients on skills and experience that don't exist (bait and switch techniques). Pushing staff with promises of advancement that never materialize. Obsession with bench costs and no real investment in consultants or clients (and push toward hourly vs. salaried employees). Ultimately, this firm needs a lobotomy at the top or it will continue to struggle.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. We believe that in order to be one of the best companies to do business with, we have to have great people. We are happy to hear that you have noticed this commitment. Our consultants join us with a vast variety of experience, knowledge, and skillsets, and we do our best to ensure that the projects on which they work match not only their interests, but also provide an opportunity professional growth, including working in a team environment (almost 70% of our projects have multiple consultants working on them). Each consultant prepares a career development plan and the consultant is responsible for driving to achieve this --- we provide mentoring as well as training, leadership, and specific project opportunities to help them achieve their goals. This is but one of the many reasons we were awarded Seattle Magazine’s 2nd Best Company to Work For in 2016 for the large company category and we believe this is also a reason why our voluntary turnover has continually declined (currently a 50% decline over the past year) . Our clients consistently give us high marks for investing in understanding their business and providing value-added advice to their projects. Our consultants excel in this environment, and we consistently promote a healthy percentage of our employees each year as they take on new and challenging leadership opportunities.

Pros

Good benefits, nice people, fun events, nice office. Their client list looks great on your resume.

Cons

Pay is low. Pay is lower for women. Women aren’t promoted to leadership roles. They only hire external people and don’t let their current employees move onto new projects. It’s a boys club. If you’re in with one of them, you’ll get a raise.

We always appreciate the feedback our current, former, and prospective employees leave on GlassDoor. It’s gratifying to see what we’re doing right, and we appreciate being able to learn from those areas where we can improve. A review like this one leaves us a bit stymied, however. The content of this review is factually incorrect. First, we have a team of people (including our female CFO) who monitor our pay rates on an ongoing basis for equity internally and against the market. Second, to claim that our current employees aren’t “allowed” to move onto new projects is, in a word, untrue. Our consultants move onto new projects all the time, so we’re not really sure where that criticism might come from. Third, it’s similarly wrong to claim this is a “boys’ club”. We have an environment where women are deeply involved and invested in corporate, project, and team leadership, business development activities, candidate assessment and selection, and project assignments. They are viewed as equals and contribute greatly to the ongoing success of our Company.
