Pros

Industry leading salary for exempt employees. Company is booming. Rapid expansion makes room for upward mobility. Saving lives.

Cons

Low salary for non exempt employees. When you pay near minimum wage, you get minimum wage talent. Lack of employee competency puts more work on your managers (covering for call ins, increased quality errors, unhappy employees giving poor customer service). When McDonald's is paying more to flip burgers, you really need to reexamination your compensation policies. Too much autonomy/inconsistencies from region to region. Really depends on who is your regional director and how they manage so its luck of the draw. Regionals are overworked! Give more responsibility/power to your field quality managers! Lots of "managing by the spreadsheet". You will have company wide goals (processing times, labor etc.) that you are held accountable for but every center is different and has its own barriers. Real corporate disconnect here. The only way you can have the same goals for every center is if they were all built the same. Donors will threaten your life and/or cause a huge scene when they cant donate due to out of limit vitals. Had to bring in armed security, No schedule privileges for center directors. Opening shifts at 530am and closing shifts can be as late as 10pm. Must work weekends. Manager expected to be in the building at all hours of operation so if you are ever short an assistant manager, expect you and your other AM to be working 55+ hour weeks. This seems to be a common issue company wide and your regional will think its no big deal. Manager training for an external hire takes a minimum of 6 months...unacceptable.

Pros

Interacting with the Donors Benefit package is decent

Cons

If you're looking for a career.....count this employer out unless you are aiming for a management position. This employer does not value their employees as much as they say they do. They do NOT compensate you fairly; too many responsibilities which includes dealing with bio hazardous materials. The atmosphere is beyond unprofessional...unsuitable for any mature individual who's looking to make a reasonable living. Management is bias and will promote certain individuals of their liking to positions due to favoritism and not work ethic. Management is a group full of air heads who abuse their authority, and will write you up if you stand up for yourself. This corporation has a high turnover rate.....I wonder why???? Run fast and run far when being called in for an interview. P.s A person who should of taken heed to the bad reviews before accepting an offer.

Pros

-Good Benefits -Decent pay depending on position -4.6 hours of PTO per pay period

Cons

-The Regional Director will defend Center Directors and Quality Assurance Supervisors that she has hired even if they are violating HR/Company policies (Sexual Harassment/Personal Relationships) so she doesn't look like she has a bad hire. -The Regional Director will also terminate employees who speak out against the culture of the center, who express dissatisfaction with the leadership skills of a Center Director and state that they feel unheard by upper management. -Most members of upper management will make sure employees do not grow within the company if they have a personal problem with them instead of making these decisions by the employees work ethic and statistics. -A lot of management sleep together and bring their personal relationship into the business. -Leadership will gossip with each other and to other centers and everyone will know your business even if you are just a phlebotomist. -Hours are cut for employees making other employees do the work of 3 or 4 people. -Documentation is falsified on reports so centers can have all the liters possible asking employees to also lie about documentation and situations. -Any HR complaint filed against management will be a waste of time. The RD will inform that person that of who made the complaint and what its about instead of keeping it anonymous and conducting a fair investigation. -Management will not discipline employees who start drama and gossip about other employees. They will feed into it and watch it happen and ruin the culture of the center for their own enjoyment.
