I read the GlassDoor ratings before joining this company. I'm in HR, I thought. I can make a positive difference, I thought. Nope. People are treated as commodities, not as human beings. Managers distrust all employees, and yet the managers are surprised that their employees stoop to the level at which they are treated. They must perform according to a quota and attendance is based on a point system - 9 points and you're out - no excuses for sick kids or being sick yourself excluded. This is a very unhealthy and dysfunctional environment. My advice is to only work here if you are desperate for a paycheck. And if you do work here, prepare to be demeaned and mistreated. The turnover is so great that within a short time I'm sure the job you are seeking will come open. Managers I worked with even called the HR department a "revolving door."
