Pros

The people within the communities are wonderful and the stylists that were my direct reports were amazing. There are no more pros!

Cons

The pay! The morals! The education/training! The promises that were never kept! Doesn't promote from within! The products used on the residents are the cheapest bottom of the line products you can possibly get. Pays you poverty level part time pay to work a 50+ hour week. TERRIBLE upper management! The communities are never happy because of the ridiculous amount of turn over within their management teams. The management leaves due to the amount of work verses the pay. They hire incompetent regional managers that have no experience in being a hair dresser, so therefore the way they insist things be run, simply doesn't work in a SALON atmosphere. They expect executive results for less than fast food pay.

Worst Company I've Ever Worked For!

Pros

Working with the Stylists, the staff at the communities, the Seniors and their families.

Cons

If you want to work for a company that will work you to death, use you and spit you out when they're done with you, then this is the place for you! The average employment term for office staff is two years. Employees will either have a nervous breakdown, be set up by upper management or lied about by co-workers. Co-workers that "rat out" others, usually do it because they are threatened about losing their jobs. Upper Management creates a "kill or be killed" atmosphere. Every VP in the company is a liar and a coward. They "rule" with fear and that's why they do not have the respect of their employees. There are a few long term employees that work in the field and God help PS Lifestyles if those women quit! They're the only ones that can put out the fires created by the mismanagement. The other long term employees are brown nosed, spineless turncoats. This company doesn't know the first thing about loyalty or honesty.

Pros

Helping senior and disabled clients manage the challenges involved with the difficult task of grooming is an honorable way to spend your day. You get to be home in time for dinner too!

Cons

The company fails in support for employees, even going so far as to be disrespectful. In my opinion this disrespect shows the glaring flaw in the company's mission. A happy staff translates to happy customers. Too bad Salon PS doesn't feel that way.
