      Pros

      Great content to work with - and very creative colleagues and clients.

      Cons

      Was purchased by a publicly-held conglomerate who is not interested employee development or job satisfaction. They have commoditized the brand and do no recognize what made Pantone a beloved international brand.

      We are very interested in employee development and job satisfaction, we are pretty much obsessed with this and use the results of our annual engagement survey to drive improvements every day. We absolutely recognize the beloved brand and continually find new ways to help our customers use Pantone in their businesses.       Why I don't work at Pantone anymore

      Pros

      It's a small company. There's opportunity to get recognized if you do a good job. Compensation and benes are pretty good.

      Cons

      Too political. Since it's a private, family-owned company most employees are more concerned about impressing the Herberts than doing the right thing in their job.

      Company seems to have lost its way

      Pros

      Some very knowledgable people that care about the business. Well recognized brand with some core products used in design.

      Cons

      The company seems to be more driven by operational metrics than innovation and development of new products. it seems the company can't quite figure out what to do next and have floundered for the past few years. Places less respect on the employee and has created an environment that at times is oppressive.
