They don’t care how long you’ve been there or how hard you worked or how many late nights you had or how perfect your reviews were. They make it sound like you’re a part of this big family that look out for each other, only to fire you later on to replace you with their favourite employee. Thats right. Favouritism is big here. And they don’t keep it subtle either. They make sure you’re aware that they favour somebody else. And you’ll know who it is. It’s the one who’s really good at sucking up and is a yes-man to management. Directors and VPs don’t give a crap about you here. My direct manager didn’t care to help me grow. Any idea I had for a project, they would give to their favourite employee. Because this person is “the star” and “everyone likes this person.” Imagine going into your review and hearing from YOUR manager, who’s supposed to guide you and help you, that you should look at your colleague and basically copy what they do. What kind of leader says that to someone??? They don’t value you as a person here. They value who your connections are.
