Pros

One of the best companies I personally have been privileged to work at. The department I'm in is great! Good people to work with. I also appreciate their approach of "trust unless proven un-trustworthy." It is a very open and free organization. No micro-management in my experience. They also have some great benefits!

Cons

It may seem that the company can use talented people for their own purposes and then say goodbye for no reason other then they accomplished what they hired them to do.

Pros

The culture at Poly-Wood is something I've never experienced. The push for collaboration and encouragement to think outside your job title is a great environment to work in. I wake up and truly look forward to going to work. Another employee described it perfectly, there is a genuine trust with employees and each person matters and plays a part in the company's growth. Bonus - there is a gourmet kitchen stocked with food, so that's one less thing you have to worry about in the morning!

Cons

If you're someone who needs constant direction and guidance, this might now be the place for you. Employees are given tasks and expected to follow-through without micro-management. This is the best work environment for me, but might not work for others.

Outstanding Company and Culture

Pros

The greatest thing about Polywood is the energy the company has. The growth over the past decade has brought Polywood to prominence and the company isn't showing signs of slowing. From larger and larger contracts and expanding markets, Polywood is beginning to reach all segments of the outdoor furniture world and building a reputation for the best furniture in the business, both in design and quality. Management is dynamic and is involved in the day-to-day operations. The leadership team is full of honest, hard-working, and creative individuals. Employees are taken care of well and shown respect; as well as encouraged to reach for more, take on responsibilities if they desire, and challenge the status quo where needed. Most departments feature a daily huddle or scrum. Collaboration is felt everywhere as team members work to remove roadblocks to ensure products go from a new concept or pitch to the production floor to the customer's deck/porch/patio/dock. As a final note, I greatly value the company's encouragement to keep a healthy balance between work responsibilities, family, and faith.

Cons

I truly have no cons that I can give about the company policies, structure, or management. Personally, I had to relocate closer to Syracuse to cut down my commute time, but if you're already living in this area, this isn't a con at all.
