Pros

Staff Dress was cool and nothing else

Cons

Just about everything. I’ve worked for many retailers and this is by far the most disorganized and unprofessional company I have ever worked for—if you do not believe me, just see how many times you will see the same job posting within a six month period. The root of the issue is you’ve got a terrible management structure, upper-management shames employees for not hitting sales targets while at the same time using emails to put stores on blast for not completing operational tasks—it creates a tense environment in which only people who absolutely NEED the job stay with the company. They funniest thing about working here was using their selling playbook to talk up their “woven in Italy” pieces and the customer immediately asking “then why is it made in China?” This kinda thing just showed how disconnected management was from consumer sentiment and behavior.

Pros

Networking opportunities through customer base. Good discount on clothes

Cons

As a former employee of this company, I feel that it is my duty to be honest with upper management and honest with potential employees that would take a job with this company. I’m sorry, but there are some 5-star reviews that I have seen written on here that would have only been written by upper/executive management at Rodd and Gunn. If you find any previous manager on LinkedIn from a Rodd and Gunn store, connect with them and they will tell you the truth. The CEO (Mike) and his sister Andrea are absolutely FANTASTIC people. But the people actually running the retail side of the business should be fired. They are some of the most condescending individuals I have ever met. Read the reviews people. Pay attention to them. Because it’s far from even a 2-star review.

Cons

Lack of training I'm basing this out of the San Francisco office they treat you like you don't know anything even though you haven't had the proper training they treat you like an errand boy they talk to you like you're a child and they find reasons to get rid of you just because I wouldn't suggest this company to anyone
