Pros

Company is competitive and always seeking to improve

Cons

Change is standard whether it’s part of a restructuring event or an acquisition. Employees that have been there a long time (e.g. over 20 years) are let go as a result

Thanks for taking the time to share your review and for the five-star rating. We appreciate your willingness to share your perspective. It’s great to hear that you see Savage as a competitive company that’s always working to improve. Continuous improvement is an important part of who we are, especially as we grow through change, acquisitions, and new opportunities. We also understand that change can be challenging, particularly during times of restructuring. While these decisions are never taken lightly, we’re committed to treating our team members with respect and care throughout transitions, and to building a strong, sustainable future for our company and our people. Thank you again for your feedback and for being part of Savage.

Must 'fit' their mold

Pros

No micromanaging, some nice people.

Cons

If you are male and of a certain religious persuasion, this is the best company for you to work at. Females and non-(primary Utah religion) beware. Men will literally talk over women in meetings and completely discount their opinions. Prepared to be asked completely inappropriate questions about your faith and personal choices and even been hugged without warning. When it comes time to 'trim the fat', those not in the 'club' will be first to go. The CEO is unprofessional, bad mouths former employees in front of current employees and often reacts emotionally. Stay on his good side or watch out!

Pros

Decent benefits and they attempt to keep you fairly safe.

Cons

Lots...dishonesty, favoritism and getting lied to.
