Pros

The office is nice and spacious. Free parking. There were a few very helpful people.

Cons

Two words, sweat shop. Your every move is watched and micromanaged, all day. Being constantly asked what you're working on and the status. Even though everything you do is entered in the ATS. Management can clearly see what you're working on, but they ask you any way. I was even approached by my supervisor one day around 11:00 AM and was told that I had only made 25 calls so far that day. And it should more. There was not a single moment where you aren't made aware of your numbers for everything. Calls, submittals, interviews, hires, etc. There was also the pressure to come in early and stay late. Several times a week. And then there are the meetings. My God, the meetings. One every afternoon (except Fridays). To discuss open requirements and submittals. There were also unscheduled last minute meetings all the time too. In short, I found working at Softworld to be the most frustrating and unnerving experience of my career. I'd walk out of there each night with a headache or tightness in my chest. Extremely unhealthy. I know people who worked at Robert Half and Ranstad who said they never had it that bad.

Pros

None. They recruit for jobs that don't exist. They lie and lie and lie. They are totally unethical.

Cons

They recruit for jobs that don't exist. They are totally unethical and screw with people's lives to meet their own twisted agendas. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH SOFTWORLD.

I know I can't change your mind about Softworld, but that is not going to stop me from trying. I am aware of the position you were recruited for and I want you to know that the position absolutely existed, but the client changed their mind and cancelled the position. I am so sorry in how this affected you. This was a completely unique situation that only happens rarely. I would appreciate an opportunity to set this right for you and make myself available to talk to you about how we can help. Please feel free to call me directly at 781.373.8434. I really do want to help.

Pros

A lowly of opportunity to grow, upper management is amazing all the way from CEO and the Director of Training and Development. There is some potential for growth but be ready to jump through a lot of hoops.

Cons

There was one manager whom was overbearing, rude, disrespectful, if you were not part of their “in crowd “ you were berated, belittled. SOFTWORLD only cares about one thing and one thing only and it’s not their consultants or their recruiters, all that matters to them is money, it is not a job for a person with a family, if you are a single person and can go out and drink after work , okay with making decent money with hard work and no encouragement then this job will be perfect for you. They sure make you know if you aren’t a fit and force you out quickly and not quietly, if you are put on a PIP that means you have a countdown clock on how much longer you are there, they will tell you it’s a motivational tool to light a fire but your days are numbered.

Hi - thank you for your candor, and I'm very sorry to hear that some of your experience was negative. There's obviously some very individualized feedback here, and I hope you addressed your concerns with any level of management, including HR , Supervisory and/or Executive teams. I can also be reached personally at 781-373-8452, and would appreciate any context. I fully agree on some of your critiques, an example of which is the importance of Town Hall style consistent communication, which we reinstituted company-wide this month. Beyond that, I'm open if you'd like to share more, am sorry that parts of your experience were negative, and I wish you success in all future endeavors.
