Pros

There are some really smart, creative, and wonderful employees here.

Cons

Stefanini has a working culture of abusing its employees. You will be talked down to. You will be insulted. Deadlines are never firm. Instead, they are moved with the intention of making deadlines impossible. Then it is held against you. One of the managers makes inappropriate comments about relationships, insults her staff, and will hold you accountable for deadlines she never communicates. She uses deadlines as a weapon. If you are unfortunate enough to fall ill and require time off you will be punished for it. The second you become ill, your health and circumstances are used against you and can even lead to termination. The People and Culture Department will not only completely ignore your complaints and requests for help but they will actively side with management to the extent that they will question whether or not you are even able to work at the time. Employees are not respected and have no recourse. I held a senior position in the marketing department. I have 20 years of proven experience with dozens of satisfied clients and thousands of published pieces of writing and editing. It is not possible to succeed here.

Pros

Excellent team. Literally every other member of the department demonstrates excellence, collaborative mindsets, flexibility, and true dedication. For every other person on my team, I can confidently say it is a joy to work with them.

Cons

My manager. I have never witnessed someone so disorganized, someone who demonstrates such a blatant lack of willingness to improve, or who is so stubbornly committed to their own particular way of doing things that they are willing to berate and insult their team for offering any form of opposition. Make no mistake, this position is you versus your supervisor.

Pros

Good company only to be used as a stepping stone Will meet some experts that mentor you and show you how to succeed Some managers are good. My manager was very understanding and flexible 401k match at 2% Better than nothing Work from home yet they wanted us to come back to the office when things reopened even though we proved we can do the job well remote

Cons

1. They do not compete at all for pay or salary. A lot of people are leaving because of this. You can get a similar job that pays double and have the same or less responsibilities. They do not want to change trust me. They send these surveys that are supposedly anonymous (doubt it) and optional but make it basically mandatory for everyone. The results they shared clearly shows the employees are unhappy with the pay and they choose to ignore that and instead focus on the other categories. The yearly increases are in cents even if you score high 3 or 4 out of 5 in performance reviews so don't expect to get from 13 to 14 an hour in 1 year like other companies. I'm lucky I am hired newer. There are other agents I've made friends with on other projects and they were in back when it was 11 an hour and didn't get an auto bump. 2. Work life balance does not exist here. I've seen my manager get pulled into so many things, they have my manager doing multiple projects and meetings nonstop that they don't have time to talk and help us but really try to despite how hectic the schedule is. Oncall 24 by 7 even expected on their vacations. For me, the workload just kept increasing with no increase in pay. Got a lot of extra work from the clients and no real KBs on how to support it. Now Stefanini leadership want you to cross train and support 2 different desks to their convenience and make it appear its a positive thing. Really shady practice that needs to be called out. Not sure if clients knows this. 3. CEO himself holds town hall meetings and said we have to work more with less. Talks about Financials and profit. "Hey let's get to this number in revenue" but didn't bother explaining how that will trickle down to the employees. VP has said similar things and I don't feel comfortable with how the executive leadership is heading. We're going backwards not forward. Another thing I don't like is the internal email spam about motivation and quotes from the owner when they don't offer actual incentives besides some snacks when we were in the office and $10 gift cards per agent. 401k match was cut during covid but was recently brought back. 4. Quantity over quality. My #2 point is directly related to this. Because of the staffing issues and high turnover, everyone has to do more and more and it's not stopping so everyone rushes to do as much as they can not really double checking how well it was done. Everyone is overwhelmed but the real problem here is they choose to ignore it and keep pushing seeing how much they can get away with If you don't agree to this then get a job in there and mark my review helpful if it's true.

Stefanini Response

Thank you for your review. It is unfortunate you have a negative impression of Stefanini. While it isn’t possible to respond to all of your claims in this space, there are a few Stefanini would like to address. Stefanini has been fluid throughout the pandemic. There are continuous discussions surrounding the use of Stefanini’s Southfield building, but no firm plans to return have been made at this time. The safety of employees is our top priority. The employee engagement survey is 100% anonymous to Stefanini. We do encourage our employees to fill out the survey so we can get accurate feedback, but it is not mandatory. The survey results show many things, with the main goal on how we, Stefanini, can improve the employee experience. Total rewards (i.e. pay, benefits, PTO, tuition reimbursement, etc.) is a topic that continues to be reviewed, but certainly not ignored. We take things that are questionable very seriously. We have an open door policy that allows any employee to reach out to senior leadership or People & Culture to bring forward their concerns. If you would like to discuss further, please feel free to contact (800) 522-4451 and ask to speak with a member of People & Culture. Stefanini People and Culture- Sarah
