Pros

Decent starting pay in most positions Mostly remote workforce Floating holidays and higher than average pto (maybe)

Cons

Very minimal raises, even after title positions. Managers know this and frequently advise employees to leave TierPoint and come back. Tierpoint is known to lose employees over asking for a 10% salary bump, but will re hire someone for 40-60% more. no bonus's unless you have a manager title or above. Manager bonus's are *up to 5%, but is usually 3% or less depending on company performance limited growth opportunities as the internal hiring process requires your current manager to receive notice prior to interviewing and they have to accept it. CEO is known for "wanting 7 figure profits from a $0 investment" and this leads to tierpoint lagging behind others who are willing to invest in new technologies and practices. Expects employees to work miracles, and the good ones who do so are not fairly compensated. Lots of blatent agism from middle age or older employees intentionally sabotaging younger employees or roadblocking them from being able to complete their work

Pros

TierPoint is a growing company in a fast-paced, competitive industry. The Executive Leadership team is invested in the company, clients and employees. There have been challenges with M&Q integration - expected with any company experiencing rapid growth and momentum - and Jerry Kent, the executive team and TierPoint leadership have been phenomenal in handling, communicating and supporting employee efforts. I love that when I have concerns, I am not in fear of expressing them and they are always heard. While this industry is primarily male dominated, this company is not dominated by men. Diversity and women are embraced and encouraged in all areas of the business. We have exceptional benefits, flexible work hours, generous PTO, competitive pay and emphasis on work-life balance. I work remotely and primarily from home, but have never felt more a part of a team or a company. In 20+ years of experience and tenure through M&A, I will confidently tell anyone that my worst day at TierPoint is still better than my best day anywhere else.

Cons

Growing pains are inevitable when technology, industry and client demands drive businesses. As TierPoint continues to grow and manage areas of the business acquired during growth process, legacy platforms and offerings can be a struggle with rationalizing solutions, driving new technology and managing solution roadmaps. It takes time to come together and this can become frustrating for those in areas of the business that drive support and solution decision-making. In the midst of change, it is can also be frustrating to manage the additional efforts with current resources, drive new technologies to the business and communicate with internal teams functioning under the same constraints. It can be an ever-changing environment, but continues to improve as the company grows. Communicate, share your thoughts, contribute and grow with the change.

Thank you for sharing your experience. We take pride in our employee benefits and the work we do internally to maintain relevancy in our scope of offerings. TierPoint prioritizes our proactive measures in ensuring that our workplace is inclusive and diverse. Recently, we partnered with a large video-learning platform that develops female talent through expert video content and virtual coaching. This collaboration has created a lot of fanfare among our staff which is exciting. And while we have had a few “growing pains” along the way, we are a resilient group. It takes a determined team like ours to do what we do every day. That’s why your comment saying “my worst day at TierPoint is still better than my best day anywhere else” resonates so well. We have something really special and positively unique in our here!

Pros

If you are new to the IT field, this is a great place to get your foot in the door for experience. The wide variety of Clients they cover expose you to many different systems and applications. There is opportunity to move up through the roles to a certain degree. Fellow coworkers are always friendly and help each other out.

Cons

They ask you to manage and balance way too many clients for the amount of pay you are getting. There is a clear favoritism for moving up through the high paying positions. You get to meet new people all the time since there are interviews for new employees every week. The turnover is terrible because of management treating everyone like a number. The place is always understaffed and thus requires employees to work mandatory overtime and shift their schedules around to what management wants. Management has been the same for the past years which is why these problems never go away. Do not work the midshift as it is the most neglected shift for employees and will never be fully staffed. Management will not allow you to call in sick, request a day off, or even call in due to snow unless someone covers your shift first. After working here for almost three years, there are only two coworkers who had been there longer than me, which is sad. Management on the other hand is made of the same people from three years ago making the same poor decisions. The pay here is the lowest of any Helpdesk role in the area even though you service the most clients. Over the years, management has actually taken away more and more ammenities for the staff. Things that have disappeared that are not returning are: break room, couches to nap on, TVs, games, video game consoles, break PC station, cushioned chairs, hot water in the restrooms
