Pros

Privately owned, well known local company with many long term employees. Aggressive growth through acquisitions in several states. In- house training program.

Cons

Poor management at district level; lazy administrative staff; bad behavior ignored; good employees overloaded with properties; low pay for amount of work expected. Technology outdated, too much emphasis on the past glory days. Reluctant to expand workforce in spite of new growth.

Pros

Benefits are on par with other companies of this type.

Cons

This company has a horrible culture problem that starts at their corporate office. They refuse to acknowledge poor leadership or employees that are a risk to their operations. Taking your concerns to HR, while they will treat you with compassion, is completely ineffective because quite frankly the company does not care about getting rid of problem people. Turnover in my department was astronomically high and no one bats an eye at that. Lots and lots of poor leaders in very high management positions that get to just stay in them.

Pros

Can't think of any.

Cons

Very toxic, along with myself they have lost a lot of very valuable employees. The office is ran by the most negative and harassing person I have ever met. She does not care about Towne and the reputation they have built. She is single handily ruining the COLUMBUS area and keeping successful growth down. People that I speak with that still work there hate their job. Typically you are made fun of for being older, lower income etc. basically unless you are a blonde bobble head you do not fit in with her so you are made fun of. The company is allowing a liability to run the office and they have known about it for well over 10 years. Not only did they lose a good employee when I left, but many more will leave and they will be left with no one. It is too bad as they will have to restructure entirely in Columbus.
