Pros

Pay is good for the role. Opportunity for running a territory very early in a career.

Cons

Frequent changes in regional management - new manager comes in every 3-6 months and changes the supporting team, leading to disruption in operations. Very stubborn approaches to working in a new market. Very little respect for written contracts, often blatantly breaking the terms of an agreement, and encouraging this behavior. Regional managers can be very political in their decisions.

Great Company to Work for

Pros

Trip.com is a leading Online Travel Agency in the world with Expedia and Booking as its competitors. Even knowing that fact, I am still surprised to find out how great this company's U.S. branch is for employees to work for. Firstly, it advocates a balance between work.and life. You will not feel burned out. Yes, there is a KPI target you are expected to reach, however, the training and coaching is more than adequate for both experienced and rookie employees to succeed. You surely will have a quality life. Secondly, you can always feel the trust from your superior and coworkers. There is NO politics. The integrity level of the entire team is very very high. Finally, the compensation model is more than fair, actually very employee friendly. HR and business operations have complete SOPs for you to follow. You are working with a relatively young workforce here with Trip.Com U.S., therefore, don't be surprised to see many promotion opportunities. Above is my two cents.

Cons

Remember, your employer is a leading global OTA. You are dealing with hotels, airlines, your operators and so on every day. Business travel is unavoidable. For those who like travel, you may really enjoy those opportunities. For those who are restricted by family issues, you have to be prepared for at least once a quarter business travel.
