Pros

Woolpert prioritizes their employees to a level I have never experienced. Our voices are heard, but more importantly they ask. They're very transparent especially the C-Suite. They regularly take the time to ask for our feedback and collaboration when they are changing protocol, or evolving our processes. Every year they make changes to our environment because they listen. Our benefits package is world class and they work very hard to keep our environment free of toxic behavior.

Cons

Training could be a little better, but they are working on that. It has to be tough when there's over 3,000 people spread across five continents.

Don't trust the star rating!

Pros

Lots of opportunity for growth and to specialize in niche services. The people are great. The company's vision is solid.

Cons

Before June 2024, there were an average of 2 to 4 reviews per month on Glassdoor, with a wide range of ratings, and more 1-star reviews than 5-star reviews. However, since the beginning of June, there have been over 100 5-star reviews, many of which are generic and do not include a job title. It seems very suspicious that the number of reviews has suddenly increased from 3 to 30 reviews per month, which is more than some publicly traded firms. It is highly doubtful that 5% of the company suddenly submitted unsolicited 5-star reviews on Glassdoor at the same time. The company's culture has taken a negative turn, and operations are borderline dysfunctional. Middle management views people as expendable resources rather than valuable assets and treats them accordingly. The new accounting system is a disaster, but leadership refuses to take responsibility or even acknowledge the negative impacts it has on profits and employee well-being.

Disappointing Experience - Prioritizes Revenue Over Employees

Pros

Most of the employees handling production work are friendly and easy to work with, but those in higher positions are not as approachable or supportive.

Cons

My time at this company has been deeply disappointing, and I feel compelled to share my experience to caution others. This company is heavily focused on revenue at the expense of its employees’ well-being. Here’s why I would not recommend working here: Employee Value: It’s clear that employees are seen as just another resource to be exploited. The company cares far more about profits than it does about the people who help generate them. There's no real investment in the staff, and you constantly feel undervalued and replaceable. Compensation: Salaries are below industry standards, which is disheartening, especially when you see new hires coming in at salaries that match or even exceed those of long-term employees. Loyalty and experience are not rewarded here; instead, you’re stuck with stagnant wages while the company focuses on cutting costs. Communication: Communication from upper management is almost non-existent. Important decisions are made behind closed doors, with little to no input from those who are directly impacted. This creates confusion and frustration, as employees are often left in the dark about significant changes. Work/Life Balance: The company demands excessively long hours, leaving little room for a healthy work/life balance. This culture of overwork inevitably leads to burnout, with no real support in place to help employees manage their workload. The so-called "unlimited vacation" policy is a joke—it's really just a way to discourage people from taking the time off they need. You end up feeling guilty or pressured not to take vacations because there's no clear structure or support. Company Culture: There’s a severe lack of a positive, inclusive culture. While the employees involved in production are generally nice and easy to work with, the same cannot be said for those in higher positions. The higher-ups are often unapproachable, unsupportive, and disconnected from the day-to-day realities of their teams. There’s no real sense of belonging, and the atmosphere feels cold and impersonal. Dishonest Practices: In a desperate attempt to improve their ratings for recruiting purposes, the company has been encouraging employees to leave 5-star reviews. These reviews are not genuine and don’t reflect the actual work environment. This kind of manipulation is just another example of how the company prioritizes its image over the truth and the well-being of its employees. In summary, this is not a company that values its employees or fosters a healthy, supportive work environment. The focus on profit at all costs leads to low morale, high turnover, and a toxic culture that stifles growth and well-being. I strongly advise looking elsewhere if you’re considering a position here.
