Pros

MOS has very nice mini vans that their copier repair techs drive. The building is very clean and spacious.

Cons

The old saying goes that the fish rots from the head down. Not at MOS the problem is never at the top. Based on the behavior of top leadership the this fish rots from middle management down. The answer to all of your problems will be solved by a last minute and poorly prepared for Friday meeting only to be followed by a nonsensical phone blitz. Problem solved. We now can keep our clients and gets some new ones right? Wait no. This once good company is falling into disrepair because of the lack of engagement by the leadership, 1980's thinking, and the idea that the answer to every problem is "MORE". You have a revenue problem... hire more sales reps. You have a competitive disadvantage add more cost. You have a management problem add more managers. You have a leadership problem add more VP's. More, more, more!!!! What has happened is quite remarkable more has gotten you less. Less loyalty, less revenue, less tenure, and fewer customers. Did I for forget more fees? Yes we have those. And once the customers figure out that those fees are on the invoices they really like it. After all who doesn't like paying fees only to be coached on how the terms and conditions allow us to do that to you? A desperate company in an industry that is highly competitive and trying to hold on for dear life while it's larger competitors are devouring their once loyal customers. If you think this is over the top just stop a local MOS rep and ask them.

Xerox Response

Thank you for your review. We always appreciate the feedback. However, we do have a few concerns about the facts you have presented. Recently MOS has taken the number one spot as one of the Top Area Office Equipment Dealers for the 10th year in a row. This achievement is ranked according to West Michigan Sales Revenue. We believe that the company is thriving and looking toward a bright future. With customer service as one of our top priorities, we feel strongly that our customers are being cared for in the most effective and efficient manner. We provide our customers with the ability to call a local representative who can generally assist them on the phone right away – if they are not able to fix it we can have a technician out in a matter of hours. We also hold out billing department in house so a customer can reach out to a local representative for that as well. We pride ourselves on how well we take care of our customers and we constantly get positive feedback from them. We understand the need to keep up with changing technology, values, and strategies and value the opportunity to read reviews like this in order to stay on our toes. As far as our employees, well I would challenge anyone to talk with them directly! You will find employees who have been here for over 30 years working alongside those who have just graduated, starting their careers and everyone in between. For those who are reading this review we would love to chat with you about the facts that make MOS a great place for your career!

Pros

They built a very nice building

Cons

Bobble Head leadership. No one is really allowed their own opinion, just a lot of nodding heads at the latest brilliant idea until that brilliant idea changes the following week. The sales pay plan is very complicated and as I found out ever changing based upon presidents mood that day. Be very afraid if you ever hear the words "Just go get the deal we will take care of you!" They scream from the mountain tops about family atmosphere when in reality president only cares about the bonus he will be getting and how much the company can give back to corporate Xerox.
