Pros

You can bring your dog to work.

Cons

You can expect to work 12 to 15+ hours a day, Mon through Saturday. You get free meals, etc. but that's because they don't want you to leave the office. It's disorganized and chaotic, though they like to call it "moving at zynga speed". Game design is led by Product Managers (not game designers). Focus changes on a daily basis and you're expected to constantly change direction, yet keep to schedule - hence the working long hours, six days a week. There's is no work/life balance - everything revolves around the company. Quarterly bonuses were much lower than what was said in the interview. No vacation policy (they say you should take some when needed), yet people were denied vacation or asked to work while on vacation.

Pros

Extensive Perks (lunch, dinner, sometimes breakfast), massage, etc Frequent quarterly bonuses Great people You get to be with a winning company If you are only interested in the bottom line, whatever the cost, this is the place for you.

Cons

Long hours even when there is no real deadline. Insane micro management all the way from CEO down If you're single with a dog, you'll be happy, if you have a family you'll be miserable. Promotions are based more on how many hours you're willing to work rather than skill or experience. If you want to be creative go elsewhere.

Pros

Mark Pincus is an easily manipulated doofus who thinks he is a visionary. This allows people with no skills except for politics to easily move up the ranks within the paranoid snake pit.

Cons

You literally will spend a lot of time and effort and skills to what will most likely culminate in a rash and short-sighted decision. Ask anyone that has worked on any of the 100's of canceled projects that were underfunded in the first place. Frank Gibeau (who claims to have saved EA even though his main contribution to mobile [which he was demoted to after he was passed over by the board] was Plants v. Zombies 2, the steaming trainwreck. He was saved by Simpsons Tapped Out, but ask anyone on the nightmare that was the original launch of that product and you will know what a terrible leader Gibeau truly is. He has brought his failure friends from EA to drive down costs in SF to make it look like he turned Zynga into profit, even though the end result is a brain drain of epic proportions while funding Toronto and Oxford. Just a scam, but Pincus is too weak and dull to be able to stop it (just as Don Mattrick walked all over him as well).
