Pros

People within individual teams are really trying their best, now all in fear of being fired within seconds at no notice.

Cons

TL;DR someone was told "we had to fire someone" during Christmas layoffs after people asked specific reasons! Where to start? Massive Layoffs? Extremely Toxic C-Level? Unempathetic PeopleOps? Misinformation about severance? Aggressive benefit removal? I saw this company being built by hardworking people in 5-6 years, the same people who are now being thrown away no notice like some trash on the street. If you're not unemployed and aren't barely surviving, PLEASE look elsewhere.

We recognize how painful it is to see a company you helped build go through difficult transitions, and we don’t take feedback like this lightly especially from someone who spent many years here. Workforce changes are among the hardest decisions any leadership team makes, and they are never about dismissing the contributions or dedication of the people affected. They are driven by where the business needs to focus for the long term, not by individual performance or arbitrary actions. Every impacted employee was informed directly and treated with care, and we worked to provide support regardless of local requirements. We also want to be clear that fear or uncertainty is not the culture we aim to create. We know that periods like this can understandably create anxiety, and that’s on us to address through clearer communication, better context around decisions, and continued investment in the teams and work that matter most. It’s fair for people to feel differently about where the company is today, and we respect that not everyone will agree with the direction we’re taking. What hasn’t changed is our belief in the people doing the work — their skill, integrity, and commitment are the foundation of this company, and we remain focused on building a place where that work has meaning and a future. We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience and wish you well in what comes next.

We understand why the last several months have felt frustrating, and we appreciate you being direct about your experience. We want to clarify one point in your review. Revenue is not declining year over year. While we’ve made deliberate changes to how we focus the business and where we invest, we remain financially stable and are on track against several key financial targets this year. That said, we recognize that restructuring, benefit changes, and leadership shifts can still create uncertainty, regardless of the underlying business performance. We also acknowledge that changes in leadership bring different leadership styles, and those shifts can affect culture, trust, and how direction is perceived. When clarity around priorities or product strategy isn’t landing, that’s feedback we take seriously. Strengthening communication, alignment, and transparency is an ongoing focus. The strength of our teams is something we value deeply, and feedback like this helps us understand where we need to do better. Thank you again for taking the time to share your perspective.

Pros

- best people to work with - very relax atmosphere - good work/life balance - until the first lay-off it was a great place to work for

Cons

- salary was low for full-time employees - very sales-oriented - you can see that all-hands are mostly sales and marketing, people in sales are appreciated much more, they have company special events only to celebrate their successes - return-to-office policy 3 days per week - lay-offs despite claiming the results were good - employees are really worried about their future

Thank you for sharing your experience, and for recognizing some of the things we’re most proud of — our people, culture, and flexible working environment! We’re glad those aspects stood out during your time here. We’d like to offer some clarity on a few of the points you raised. Our Compensation & Benefits team benchmarks salaries against companies of our size within the broader tech industry to stay aligned with market standards. We also review pay bands annually to identify and address any gaps and most importantly, we share the results of those reviews in our company-wide All Hands so everyone understands how we measure ourselves and how compensation decisions are made. We also aim to celebrate success across every part of the business. Our annual President’s Club is a common tradition in tech companies that recognizes the significant achievements of our sales team especially given their variable, commission-based compensation structure. That recognition is not a reflection of greater value, but of a different model of reward. In parallel, we regularly use those same All Hands meetings and other channels to spotlight the work and impact of teams across engineering, product, design, people, and more. Regarding our return-to-office initiative, we introduced a hybrid model with 3 in-office days per week based on team needs and employee feedback around scaling connection at a global company. That said, flexibility remains an important part of our culture. If someone has caregiving responsibilities, appointments, or other personal needs, we continue to support individual arrangements just as we always have. Thank you again for your thoughtful feedback and for the time you spent as a commercetooler!
