Melinda King, SPHR, SHRM-SCP (she/her/hers) is our new Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) and People Business Partner. Although she started at 23andMe this month, her interest to get involved began back in June after she saw the letter written by our CEO Anne Wojcicki in response to the killing of George Floyd and the Black Lives Matter movement. “When I saw Anne’s willingness to call her own company out, I found it refreshing that she was willing to say her organization was part of the problem. I felt this is an organization that I want to connect with to see how I can assist them with their DEI journey,” Melinda said.
