Students from AF Amistad High and Elm City College Prep Middle visited the Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library at Yale for an exclusive private tour with AF and Franklin & Marshall College alum, Tubyez! Tubyez talked to current students about life at AF and time in college. He also shared that he interned at the Beinecke and wowed the staff so much that they created a full-time position for him. Our high schoolers are planning for their summer internships and programs now, so I’m sure we’ll be seeing more stories like this soon! Special thanks to Peter Butler for organizing the trip for our scholars!
Magnalen (AF Amistad High ’19), a freshman at Central Connecticut State University, was recently named the Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week for her performance on her college’s track and field team! She was also part of a distance medley relay team that set a record for CCSU track history. Congrats, Magnalen! We’re incredibly proud of your accomplishments!

The Staff and Families basketball game is a big tradition for AF Hartford Academy Elementary, and the Dragons just held their fourth annual matchup. This year, the staff pulled off a victory, and everyone—players, supporters, and scholars—had a great time. I’d call that a win for the whole community!
