Our seniors are earning AF East Brooklyn High’s FIRST EVER COLLEGE ACCEPTANCES (already)!!!! This is why we do what we do! Our first two scholars to get acceptances were celebrated by their classmates and teachers GOING WILD with excitement and cheers. They’re keeping their college options under wraps for now, so we will have to stay tuned for more good news from our scholars at Senior Signing Day!
Building a strong school isn't just about test scores, it's about knowing that students will love coming to class, that they will feel cared for and supported in the process. Care is an important precedent for high standards because it reminds scholars that they have the support needed to achieve great things. You have to love where you learn!
In the classroom, students are being equipped with the tools to see their place in the future, to break cycles, and lead their communities into tomorrow. Being a teacher has always been visionary work, and we must celebrate how teachers have laid down foundations for every one of us. What did your education spark in you?
