We also surpassed both the $3 billion surplus and $6 billion asset milestones (GAAP) and reached nearly $2 billion in written premium in 2021. "Acuity's continued profitable growth provides the resources and stability we need to fulfill our common purpose of caring for our family of employees, agents, and customers while staring down risk," said Ben Salzmann, President and CEO. Acuity celebrates each family's own unique story. Building a family is a journey. And managing care for loved ones at all life stages has been especially challenging these past two years. Recognizing this, Acuity is implementing a handful of new family-forming and family-care benefits, including broad fertility treatment coverage, adoption and surrogacy assistance, and Care.com premium memberships for all employees. These new benefits join Acuity’s existing offerings, which include paid leave for childbearing and non-childbearing parents, flex-time schedule, and unlimited sick leave.

Acuity recently contributed $2,500 to Dogs2DogTags in support of its mission, and our own employees are involved with the organization as well. Acuity employee, Matt, a 12-year veteran of the Army National Guard who served two tours of duty in the Middle East, was recently paired with Ernie through the organization. Ernie had been adopted as a puppy by a veteran who later passed away. Ernie ended up in a kill shelter before being rescued by Dogs2DogTags. Matt and Ernie had an instant bond that has continued to grow.
