Arbella's IT department hosted their annual Diwali celebration yesterday, complete with a huge variety of traditional food, decorations, and henna artists! Arbella's Actuarial and Research Analytics department recently organized a Lunar New Year celebration. Members of the team shared their families' traditions, brought in some of their favorite New Year foods like noodles, fried rice, and bánh mì (a Vietnamese sandwich), and even taught their colleagues calligraphy!
Our Human Resources team had a great time volunteering at Community Servings, an organization in Jamaica Plain that prepares and delivers homemade, medically tailored meals to individuals and families living with critical and chronic illnesses in Massachusetts.
The Arbella Insurance Foundation is proud to support the Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology (BFIT) with a multi-year grant that will help them create technical career pathways and economic opportunity for students typically underrepresented in post-secondary education by growing enrollment through increased marketing efforts. As part of this grant, Arbella will also offer internships and possible employment opportunities to BFIT students. The grant is part of the Foundation’s Social Justice Initiative designed to support organizations across New England that are using innovative, solutions-based program to address racial inequities in housing, employment, and education.
