Archbold recently received a $20,000 donation made by Rainey Finance Company. The donation was made through Georgia HEART which administers the Georgia Rural Hospital Tax Credit Program. Donations made through Georgia HEART help rural and critical access hospitals increase funding and provide care to thousands of Georgians. Archbold President and CEO, Darcy Craven, and Archbold Foundation President, Vann Middleton, were present as the check was presented by Mike McPherson with Rainey Finance Company.
Archbold Memorial Hospital is now utilizing a newly renovated interventional radiology suite, bringing new advancements to physicians and patients. The $1.3 million dollar project recently became operational after a year in the making.
Archbold cardiologist Kashyap Choksi, MD, PhD, FASNC becomes one of only 78 physicians in the world to earn Cardio-Oncology certification. Cardiologists with a Cardio-Oncology certification are trained to evaluate and treat patients who have heart disease or who are at risk for heart disease before, during, and after cancer treatment.
Archbold's Mitchell County Hospital and Grady General Hospital were named co-winners of the Archbold Network Hospital of the Quarter for the third quarter of 2020. Both hospitals received the same score on the HCAHPS patient satisfaction survey.

Craven to be new Archbold CEO
Archbold Memorial Hospital’s Advanced Therapy and Sports Medicine clinic is now the official sports medicine provider for Thomas County Central High School Athletics. Under this partnership, Advanced Therapy and Sports Medicine (ATSM) will be the sole provider of rehabilitation and sports medicine for Thomas County Central High School. The providers at ATSM take a team approach to post-injury treatment and rehabilitation by involving multiple specialties. The athletic trainers will also help assist all teams with on the field injury treatment, facilitate care coordination with local physicians, and coordinate diagnostic testing as needed.
