Philanthropy is a big part of the Gensuite culture, and we’re excited to share one of our team members recently won an award for her efforts. Ashley Huff, Event Operations Specialist, won this year’s 2019-2020 Small Corporate Team Lead of the Year Award from Cincinnati’s Adopt a Class program for her help guiding and mentoring kids in our adopted classroom. Congratulations, Ashley! As part of our Gensuite Summer Giveback efforts, Ashley is now leading opportunities for our team members to be of service to their local communities through the summer months. From supporting black owned business in support of Black Lives Matter, to local projects like community gardening and nursing home visits, Ashley’s work guiding Gensuite’s philanthropy can be seen throughout the organization. Gensuite's 2020 Annual Conference was held virtually this year, bringing in over 350 attendees for a unique and collaborative experience. We're excited to share all of the first reveals, demos, and new solutions introduced during the conference in our event recap. The health and safety of Gensuite employees, subscribers, & partners has been our #1 priority throughout the COVID-19 crisis. To help mitigate the spread of disease in our team, Gensuite implemented a mandatory work from home policy on March 11, 2020 for our US, Canada, and Europe offices. Our China team went remote in late January and the Australia, India, and Mexico offices went remote the week of March 16, 2020. With lockdown restrictions loosening across the world, we’ve reevaluated our policy and decided to continue working from our home offices indefinitely in our US and Canada locations, until circumstances permit a safe return to the office. The decision was based on our assessment of the current situation, available testing, and follow-up practices as we continue to focus on our team’s overall health and wellbeing. At Gensuite we are fortunate to be able to deliver our services remotely, with no service or support interruptions for subscribers. We look forward to when we can come together again in-person but until then, we hope everyone remains safe and healthy.
Our hearts go out to all the frontline healthcare workers and first responders who are bravely risking their own health to fight for the health of us all. We are truly grateful for all that you are doing and will continue to do to make our world a healthier place. Thank you for your commitment to the greater good and helping us fight through to a brighter tomorrow. In support of your efforts and to help protect you on the job, Gensuite is donating K-N95 masks and N-95 respirators to a local hospitals and nursing homes around Cincinnati. We have also made a monetary donation to Feeding America and the Cincinnati Freestore Food Bank as they face higher demands to feed hungry Americans. Through the donation to Feeding America, we’re happy to know 4,000 meals will go out to families in need. As our world continues to fight to flatten the curve, we will continue to find ways to help those affected by job loss and support our brave healthcare workers, the real heroes in our time of need. In response to International Women's Day in March, Gensuite recently sat down to hear the stories of seven extraordinary women in leadership roles, recognizing that every day they show support and provide value to our subscribers and Gensuite employees alike. On March 9th, we stood by our Mexico team for A Day Without Women. As Mexican authorities continue to downplay the issue, this call was to be absent from all activities–no women in offices or schools, no women in restaurants or stores, no women on public transportation, in cars or on the street. This protest symbolized how the disappearance of women directly & significantly impacts communities. At Gensuite, we strongly condemn gender-based violence & violence of ALL kinds. We support equity and inclusion of all people & within our teams around the world. Gensuite supported our Mexico-based female employees on March 9th with a paid day off to stand up against the Mexican government.
