With over two decades of management consulting experience at Slalom and Accenture and 2 years as a senior director business partner at Molson Coors, Schultz brings experience in business relationship and project management. He will establish strong connections with our business units, ensuring their technology needs are met as well as driving strategic Business Technology initiatives. Schultz will be instrumental in CDM Smith’s continuing evolution into a true digital engineering and construction company.
CDM Smith is pleased to announce the addition of Rasha Maal-Bared PhD, P Biol, RMCCM, an internationally recognized microbiologist, to the firm as a principal environmental scientist. With over 18 years of experience in environmental microbiology, water and wastewater monitoring, and treatment, Dr. Maal-Bared will enhance our expertise and expand microbiological testing and research capabilities at the Bellevue Research & Testing Laboratory.
The Massachusetts Water Resources Authority (MWRA) has announced its selection of CDM Smith and its teaming partners to support the Authority in the comprehensive refurbishment of the Deer Island Treatment Plant (DITP) digestion system, providing for resilient and secure wastewater treatment operations over the next two decades. This project will build on CDM Smith’s extensive experience in rehabilitating residuals facilities, a demonstrated track record of effectively delivering complex projects for the MWRA and a dedicated team that includes veterans from the original residuals facility project in the 1990s.

CDM Smith is excited to announce the firm's selection by Veolia Water North America, a market leader in water operations partnerships, to upgrade and expand the Tampa Bay Water Regional Surface Water Treatment Plant (SWTP). CDM Smith will deliver a $154 million progressive design-build project for an increased capacity from 90 to 110 million gallons of water per day to meet the needs of the Tampa Bay region’s growing population. The contacts for these services, including the contract between Tampa Bay Water and Veolia, and Veolia and CDM Smith, were signed in record time, less than 60 days from notice to proceed, due to extraordinary efforts of each of these partners.
