As we approach Veterans Day, we'd like to share some resume tips that get you the interview--particularly for veterans transitioning into the workforce.
Over the Summer, CGI employees joined the Hartford Green Team for a cleanup of the Earle Street Garden operated by KNOX, a local non-profit that combats food insecurity. More than a dozen employees joined a cleanup event to clear the greenhouse, install and fill raised beds, and beautify the site to make it a stunning community staple for the neighborhood. We are a long-time supporter of KNOX and also sponsored a city-wide clean-up event in October. Shannon Lener, a key contributor, has advice for her colleagues about the importance of community engagement. “Give back to your community,” she says. “It is essential to make your presence known in the community where you reside. To help one another is the greatest gift we can give.”
