Meet Kevin Holland, President and CEO of CHRISTUS Ochsner Health Southwestern Louisiana. He will oversee both CHRISTUS Ochsner Lake Area Hospital and CHRISTUS Ochsner St. Patrick Hospital. Holland and his family have moved to Lake Charles from Jackson County, Mississippi, where he spent almost 20 years with Singing River Health System, serving most recently as its CEO. His 23 years of experience in health care include work in operations, strategic planning, joint venture and business development, and in health plans. Please join us in welcoming him to SWLA!

We're excited to announce that CHRISTUS Santa Rosa's WIC Clinic is the first in the state to win the Gold Premier Loving Support Award. Presented by the USDA and State WIC Program, the Gold Premier Loving Support Award recognizes agencies who provide exemplary breastfeeding promotion. Monserrat Sarmiento was only one week old when she had her first operation. She received the tiniest of pacemakers but her condition was very serious and after a few years her small pacemaker ceased to be a solution to keep her alive.
