We are excited to announce that CMC has launched a new logo! For 108 years, CMC has been recognized as a leader in the metals industry. With our recent expansion to growing beyond our traditional lines of business into other construction solutions and performance products, we recognized the need to evaluate how we present ourselves to the world. This refreshed look was designed to express a sense of strength and reinforcement, capturing the core purpose of CMC’s diverse construction products. “These [logo] elements form an identity that perfectly represents the people who make up CMC today – bright, diverse, filled with energy and ready to conquer the challenges ahead,” said Peter Matt, CEO and President at CMC. “It’s both a nod to our company’s roots and the promise of a sustainable future.”
A big shoutout to our Central Division Recycling Locations for supporting 20 local schools with supply drives! Not only were notebooks, folders, and cleaning products collected, but each CMC facility also provided their school with $1,000 to use for additional school supplies to help students and teachers have everything they need for a successful school year.
We recently celebrated National Intern Day at CMC! This summer, we have more than 60 interns joining our teams across the country. We’re glad to have these future steelmakers on board!

Supporting our communities and building on our teamwork are important aspects of life at CMC. Our mill team in Alabama hosted its annual fishing tournament at Neely Henry Lake, and representatives from the mill threw out the first pitch at the Birmingham Baron’s home game back in May. CMC Recycling Birmingham recently held their annual bowling night at Spare Time. The teams enjoyed spending time together at these community events!
Our team at corporate recently organized and participated in a blood drive with Carter Blood Care, in support of the north Dallas community. Heroes at CMC come in all types!
