For Karla in our Las Vegas office, volunteering to deliver food for Helping Hands of Vegas Valley is an honor: “I am greeted with smiles and appreciation. Especially with COVID-19, there are a lot of people who are high risk and just shouldn’t be out in public."
Samantha in our Glendale office took charge of her career through professional development and pursued a new path with the encouragement of her leaders and team members. She joined as a Service Agent and is now a Scrum Master for DevOps in IT.
Working from home during the COVID--19 pandemic doesn't stop our CSAA Insurance Group family from helping our communities. Michael, a Supervisor in our Oklahoma City office, and his family joined over 100 employees in a socially distant "virtual walk" to benefit the Ronald McDonald House. Love to see it!
The well-being of our employees and their families is a top priority, which is why 98% of our employees are working from home to help bend the curve of COVID-19 spread. During this uncertain time, we don’t want our employees worried about job security – so we’ve committed to no layoffs in the next four months. In the event an employee has tested positive for – or has substantially similar symptoms to – COVID-19, they’re eligible for up to two weeks (80 hours) of paid sick leave outside of their usual accrual. We’re making efforts to ensure the health of our employees while working from home, so we can continue to best serve AAA Members. This includes virtual and on-demand wellness and meditation sessions, as well as mental health benefits.

Over 300 employees in our Glendale office enjoyed afternoon Energy Breaks in the month of May. Energy Breaks included stretching movements, nutritious snacks and activities to help reduce workday stress and rejuvenate the body and mind.
A strong core is the foundation for a strong body. During the month of May, employees are participating in a 30-Day Push up and Plank Challenge. Each day participants challenge themselves to move more.
Employees Arturo Paniagua and Sal Peinado, Jr. shared their experience growing up as migrant farm workers, finishing high school and going to college before joining the corporate world. “My parents made huge sacrifices for our family,” recalled Arturo; “when I look back on what they did to survive, it inspires me to do more.” This event was sponsored by ¡Somos!, our Hispanic/Latinx employee resource group, and moderated by employee Briana Clifford, board member of an organization that helps children of migrant farm workers be college ready.
