Our team in Surgoinsville, TN recently had an opportunity to partner with Clinch Middle School to work with 7th and 8th grade students to build their very own robotic claw machines. With the help of our amazing STEM Accelerators, they learned to plan, delegate responsibilities, and use tools and programming skills to bring their ideas to life. On May 8th, the students showcased their creations to Cooper Standard employees, who evaluated each project on appearance, functionality and presentation. A huge congratulations goes out to the 8th grade students who were crowned the winners by just one point! Thank you to Clinch Middle School and our Surgoinsville team for their support and collaboration in making this project a success.

With a strong track record of success, we are proud to have delivered over 15 million ODS units, which have been successfully integrated into more than 45 vehicle platforms. These sensors aid in vehicle safety by detecting obstructions along the vehicle’s automated closing path and promptly stopping and reversing its movement.

Our latest Panels with a Purpose discussion took place on April 26th, centered around the topic of addressing microaggressions. Our team had an open and honest conversation where each panelist shared their unique perspectives and experiences. They emphasized that microaggressions can manifest in both verbal and non-verbal ways, often unintentionally. It was a powerful reminder that we all have a responsibility to be mindful of our words and actions, as they can have a profound effect on the well-being and sense of belonging of those around us. A big thank you to our moderator and amazing panelists for shedding light on the impact of microaggressions and the importance of recognizing and addressing them.
