Omid started as an Operations Assistant when Cruise was only 50 employees. Now, he works as a Program Manager on the Employee Brand Team, where he cultivates Cruise’s brand internally. In addition to finding his dream career at Cruise, Omid has been instrumental in ensuring our office is inclusive for LGBTQ+ employees, visitors, and guests: “Hanging up Pride flags in our offices, posting gender-inclusive bathroom signs, initiating our queer employee resource group, and registering Cruise for Pride three years in a row have carved out space for gender and sexual minorities to thrive here.” We’re celebrating #PrideMonth by highlighting the careers of LGBTQruise members and allies. “It’s mind-blowing to work on the next technological breakthrough. It fascinates me how many different components—hardware, software, operational, and regulatory—we need to solve to make this future a reality.” Jason is a manager on the Customer Support team at Cruise, but his work is so cross-functional, his department name only tells half of the story: “I work alongside engineers, designers, and product managers to bring their hard work to life. Every day I get to solve operational challenges that no one has dreamed about before and it's super exhilarating.” In honor of #PrideMonth, we’re celebrating the careers of LGBTQ+ Cruisers and allies. In honor of Father’s Day, #CruiseCares volunteers built care packages for families at Raphael House, San Francisco’s first and largest family shelter. Cruisers put together 100 care packages to donate on behalf of their father or a father they know. We’re proud to support our Cruiser fathers and local family organizations like Raphael House around the Bay Area. #RaphaelHouseSF
“I work with students to help them figure out what they want to do with their career. Many students have never been to San Francisco (and have never seen a self-driving car), so I love introducing them to a new city and a new technology.” While Cruise University Recruiter Emma helps college grads find their own career path, she’s charted her own at Cruise. As the second recruiter to join the company, she's helped scale our recruiting organization to 100 people, ushered in an official internship program, and acted as a founding member of the LGBTQ+ Cruise Community, LGBTQruise. In honor of #PrideMonth, we’re elevating the stories of LGBTQ+ Cruisers and allies. Join us in creating a team that cultivates diversity: http://glassdoor.com/slink.htm?key=vMBQo
Over 20 #CruiseCares volunteers and our ERG Vets at Cruise members honored Memorial Day with a day of Bay-friendly gardening at the Korean War Memorial in the Presidio, San Francisco's former military fort and iconic city landmark. Cruise is proud to employ veterans, and we're thankful today and always for all those who've served.
"I started as a Junior Developer when Cruise was just over 100 people. In two and a half years since, I've led a team, owned high-impact cross-functional projects, learned from some of the smartest people I've ever met, and watched us grow over 10x." These days, Cruise Software Engineer Robin is focused on building on-car and in-car communication frameworks to help riders feel comfortable with AV technology. But before that, she worked on wide-ranging projects—from remote-controlled vehicle settings all the way to software that live-reports road changes. At Cruise, we celebrated Mother's Day with a bouquet-making pop-up station! Over 70 Cruisers arranged beautiful bouquets to give to a mother they know or to donate to residents of San Francisco-based women's shelter La Casa de las Madres. It was a great turnout and an amazing show of support for all forms of mothers—Happy Mother's Day to you 💐#CruiseCares
