The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) has issued a favorable Record of Decision for our Costal Virginia Offshore Wind (CVOW) project, which concludes the environmental review. This is the last major milestone before BOEM approves the Construction and Operations Plan, which authorizes construction to begin offshore. CVOW will generate enough clean, renewable energy to power up to 660,000 homes once fully constructed in late 2026 and is expected to generate fuel savings of $3 billion for customers during the project’s first 10 years of operation. We are proud to announce the expansion of our EnergyShare program for small businesses and residential customers facing financial hardship due to the pandemic. Partnering with the Virginia Chamber of Commerce Foundation, the Small Business Relief Program will offer small businesses one-time assistance of up to $1,000 toward unpaid Dominion Energy Virginia electric bills that may have accrued during the pandemic.
