The Engineering Leadership Program (ELP) is a highly selective program looking to grow entry-level engineers into elite technical leaders through an accelerated three-year curriculum and has been part of General Dynamics Mission Systems for 50 years and counting. The newest ELP graduates gathered in Manassas, Virginia, earlier this month to present their capstone projects to engineering leaders. The highly selective ELP develops technical leaders early in their post-college careers through an accelerated learning environment. The latest ELP graduates started the three-year program in 2022. “The ELP program could not have been a better start to my career! The rotations gave me the chance to explore different parts of the business and take on new challenges, which kept things fresh and exciting,” said Mac Smith, one of the recent ELP graduates from Bloomington, Minnesota. “What stood out the most was getting to meet and work with so many amazing people from across the company. Building those connections early on made a huge difference, and I’m grateful for how the program set me up for success,” said the proud Baylor University Bear. In the ELP you are the architect of your own career, and each participant can choose their rotations with guidance from leadership. Alumni of the ELP have accelerated their careers, and they now hold a variety of both technical and executive leadership roles across our organization. Help us in congratulating our newest ELP cohort! 👏👏 👏
