Jamie Barthe, who met with the students, says, “I had the opportunity to talk with high school and college students about systems and mechanical engineering, internships at GD Mission Systems, building their resumes, the Engineering Leadership Program and so much more." Our third 2024 #BEYASTEM Award winner is Dayna, a Prairie View A&M University alumna, and Manufacturing Leadership Program Engineer at General Dynamics Mission Systems. Her advice for upcoming engineers is to “Embrace change; you need to be innovative in the engineering world. Everything is changing, you can’t prepare for it all the time, but you need to have an optimistic standpoint and acclimate to whatever is happening.”
