#DYK the two most professions fueled by coffee are Nurses and Physicians? ☕ Studies have shown there are many benefits of grabbing a cup of "joe", including: improved energy levels, increased fat burning, a large source of antioxidants and possible protection from several diseases. Several businesses are even offering a free cup of "java" to celebrate today, so check your local area for participating stores near you. #genesiscareers #caredeeply #nationalcoffeeday

As part of the "Genesis National Recognition Days" we are pleased to present our next Hero In Action - Christine Yu, Recreational Director at our Cranberry Center in NJ. “I would very much like to thank Christine Yu for all her wonderful support to our family during these trying months. My mother is a resident at the Cranbury Center and Mrs. Yu has been an incredible link between my mother (who does not see or hear well) and our family. Due to her disabilities, Zoom or outdoor socially distanced visits are not possible. Christine has kept an eye on my mother and has kept us updated. We cannot express how important this has been for us. We would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge her dedication. We would also like to thank the entire staff of the center for all their efforts during this time.” - Dana G. #heroesworkhere #vialityforliving
Raising awareness to end Alzheimer’s disease... September is World Alzheimer’s month—a time to shine a purple light for the approximately 44 million people globally afflicted with Alzheimer’s disease or a related form of dementia. We need your help to honor the millions of people who struggle with this disease every day by mobilizing friends, families, neighbors, coworkers, anyone and everyone to help bring an end to Alzheimer’s disease. Alzheimer’s disease is the most common form of dementia and it is fatal. Currently, there is no way to prevent, cure or slow the progression of Alzheimer’s, and it is the sixth-leading cause of death in the United States. The time is now to go purple during World Alzheimer’s Month. World Alzheimer's Month is the international campaign every September to raise awareness and challenge the stigma that surrounds dementia. September 2020 will mark the 9th World Alzheimer's Month. The campaign was launched in 2012. World Alzheimer's Day is on 21 September each year. The End of Alzheimer’s Starts with YOU. #gopurple #alzheimersawareness
