We also supported holiday food drives local to each of our offices, including the Interfaith Food Pantry of Morris County, NJ; Saint Barnabas Food Drive in Bayville, NJ; Food Pantry at Unity House of Troy, NY; Suffern Soup Kitchen in Suffern, NY; and Feeding Westchester in Elmsford, NY. Today is Day 2 of our spotlight on H2M's Wastewater Discipline! Project Spotlight: Calverton Sewer District The Town of Riverhead formed the Calverton Sewer District in 1999 after taking over the formal Naval Weapons Industrial Reserve Plant from the US Navy to create the Enterprise Park at Calverton (EPCAL). The existing sewage treatment plant was originally built in the late 1960’s and the sanitary infrastructure improvements necessary to support future development of the EPCAL site include upgrading the existing sewage treatment plant. The project also proposed to relocate the existing surface water outfall to a groundwater recharge site located outside the nationally recognized Peconic Estuary watershed. 2M is proud to have worked with the Town as part of the planning, design and construction of this first phase and will continue to work the with Town to provide operations support and engineering assistance as the facility moves into the future. She says, "Some days, I can be outside; some days, I can be in the office. But every day brings new and exciting projects with their own unique circumstances." **Fun Fact about Kaitlyn: She has been volunteering with the Girl Scouts of Nassau County since she achieved her Gold Award as a scout in 2011.
