It's #WHYILOVEH2M Wednesday! Today, we introduce Adam Champagne, Assoc. AIA. Adam is a Staff Designer at H2M architects + engineers and works out of our Albany Office. Adam loves that at H2M he can be involved in every aspect of a project. He tells us "From Client Development to Design, Construction, and Finally to Closeout, I have the opportunity to have my hand in every part of a project and feel proud of the final outcome." In Adam's spare time, he volunteers on the Board of Directors of Pain Castle Inc.. This organization owns, operates, and is restoring this 1896 Gilded Age Mansion in Troy, NY that was the residence John Welles Paine, a wealthy financier and attorney. As as design professional who works on some historic preservation project, he finds this volunteer work very fulfilling. #H2M #careers #architect #architecture #designer
H2M architects + engineers was proud to take part in OSHA Safety Training Institute’s Safe + Sound week for the third consecutive year. We held safety events each day that were attended by hundreds of H2Mers to mark this week. Rich Humann, our President and CEO, started us off on Monday by presenting an hour of safety-related fun, games, trivia, and interviews. Next, Thomas King, CIH, our Safety Manager presented an educational session on Confined Space Awareness for Architects and Engineers on Tuesday. Kim Gates, Global Lab Safety Director for the Estee Lauder Companies, then presented on the subject of Building Requirements for Chemical Handling and Industrial Laboratories on Wednesday. Emilcott Associates provided an educational session on electrical safety awareness for architects, engineers, scientists and field staff on Thursday from our Parsippany office. Each education session was made available to all employees via teleconference. The Setauket Fire Department closed out the week with some AED/CPR training for H2M staff at our headquarters in Melville, NY.
It's #WHYILOVEH2M Wednesday! Today, we introduce Ashley Little. Ashley is a project scientist for the environmental/forensics department at H2M architects + engineers. She is primarily responsible for the project management of mold inspections for an array of clients including but not limited to insurance companies, homeowners, municipalities, and property managers. Ashley tells us that she loves the hands on experience with projects that she gets to have when she goes out in the field. She says "A lot of what I learned in my discipline has been thanks to hands on work in the field. The balance between office time and field time is something I really appreciate." #H2M #scientist #environmental #projectmanagement #careers
