H2M’s Project Designer, Chris Silliman, and Administrative Support Professional, Christine Woodson, are the team captains this year for the Marcum Workplace Challenge. They had a kick off meeting with the committee along with other team captains from other companies participating. We’re looking forward to this event and are in the process of getting the ball rolling for the 13th Annual Marcum Workplace Challenge on Tuesday, July 31, 2018!

On February 6th, H2M’s Wastewater Discipline Engineer, Greg Levasseur, and Staff Engineer, James Vierling, gave a presentation on “No Cost Coastal Resiliency” at the NYWEA 90th Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition at the Marriot Marquis in NYC. The presentation demonstrated H2M’s creative approach used on a project to solve a homeowner area in the Village of Patchogue. The Village was inundated by coastal flooding and septic tank failures due to high groundwater. H2M also cleaned up the coastal waters by removing nitrogen from the ground water. The project was 100% funded by grants with no cost coming from the Village or homeowners.
Today, H2M’s Westchester office celebrated Mardi Gras/Fat Tuesday with donuts, treats, beads, and masks!
On Friday, February 9th, some of our H2Mers participated in the Cycle for Survival event at the Equinox gym in Rockefeller Center, NYC! H2M has participated the past three years and this year our team raised $7,500! Cycle for Survival is an event that is geared toward fighting rare forms of cancer. People register as a team and ride in four back-to-back 50-minute sessions raising money to fund rare cancer research.
