On June 19, 1865, Union Army troops arrived in Galveston, Texas, to announce the Emancipation of enslaved Americans. Today, we celebrate that day as Juneteenth. Many Americans honor this day throughout the country as a day of celebration and hope. It is also a day to honor those who suffered greatly under slavery. Our Talent Acquisition Team spent 3 days at the Texas A&M Engineering Career Fair and had the amazing opportunity to speak with hundreds of students. We are enjoying getting back to college campuses and are looking forward to the semester of recruitment!
Last Wednesday, a group of our employees partnered up with Kumntakit Grotto, a philanthropic organization in Sugar Land, to send a U-Haul of supplies to our neighbors impacted by Hurricane Ida in Louisiana. A big thank you to HCSS Executives for the opportunity to work with Kumntakit Grotto to help the city of Houma and surrounding communities. Thanks again to all of the volunteers that helped HCSS continue to be a significant and valuable asset of the Sugar Land community!
