Hej, all! My name is Skyelar Furr (she/her) and I’m the Interim Commercial Restaurant Team Leader at IKEA Bolingbrook. My role is to ensure customers have a great eating experience while shopping at IKEA. As a leader in the restaurant and bistro, I’ve gained experience working in a fast-paced environment and learned how to manage situations quickly and efficiently. When I was looking for a job, I was attracted to the welcoming environment of IKEA and as soon as I joined the team, I knew I belonged here.
At IKEA U.S., we make plant-based goodness. We have challenged ourselves to create a range of flavor-packed plant-based foods like plant balls, plant mince and veggie hot dogs. Food should not only be good for you, but also good for the planet.
At IKEA U.S., we know how important it is to know where your next meal is coming from. On Monday, our co-workers at IKEA South Philly teamed up with Cathedral Kitchen in Camden, N.J. to prepare and deliver over 300 to-go lunches for people in the community fighting food insecurities. Meals are better when we can share them together 💛
Hej everyone! My name is Orande Vickerie and I’m a Sales Department Manager at IKEA South Philadelphia. I celebrate Black culture through living it as a graduate of an HBCU, a brother of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., as well as hosting events for Black male youth. I also help my community through food and clothing drives. For the next generation, it is my duty to help my community develop and grow professionally through education and my own examples and experiences. Leading this way has helped me create a space of trust to engage and share my journey with others in hopes it can help and inspire them in their career development.
