Hej neighbors! 👋 My name is Dino Madayag. I’m the Business Navigation & Operations Manager at IKEA Oak Creek, have been an IKEA co-worker for over 21 years and am of Filipino decent. During this Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, I want to take a moment to impart some wisdom for AAPI youth: let every facet of your identity and heritage be visible and shine through, and always remember that your whole being is so much greater than the sum of your parts. How are you celebrating this year?
Happy #EarthDay! Today we’re celebrating our planet and our people. 🌍🌈🌼 Our co-workers and their families inspire us every day – not only with their commitment to creating a better life at home, but through their efforts to bring #sustainability to life at IKEA U.S. Hear more from some of our co-workers as they share what sustainability means to them and why even the smallest effort can have a lasting impact in making our shared home happier and healthier.
We’re honored to be recognized for our diverse and inclusive workplace! 🤝 We live by our shared values every day and aim to create an equal and open work environment to provide our co-workers with a space they can be their unique selves. Thank you, Forbes, for the recognition!
When it comes to sustainability, we mean business. ✍️ In addition to our goal of becoming climate positive by 2030, we’re joining several other leading businesses in asking our government to commit to a 2030 climate goal, too. By signing on to a letter organized by We Mean Business, we’re asking the current administration to commit to a goal of cutting emissions by at least 50% below 2005 levels by 2030.
Life-changing events make an impact on us long after they’re over. For IKEA Conshohocken Sales Steer and Supply Leader Troy Masse, seeing President Barack Obama take office as the first African American President made him feel like anything was possible. Is there a moment in time you saw real progress in the fight for racial equality?
Black History Month may be in February, but every day it’s important to recognize, honor and celebrate Black history. IKEA Brooklyn Inventory Specialist Dorothea Bennett does just that.
At IKEA, we keep people and our planet top of mind 24/7. 🌎 That’s why we’ve used sustainably sourced cotton in our products since 2015. Whether the cotton is recycled or grown with less water and chemical usage, small changes like these help make a big impact in our fight against climate change.
Helping the many conserve water is one the ways we promote a more sustainable life at home. 🛁💦 Our designers have created innovative product designs to help our neighbors find more ways to reduce water consumption.
As the pandemic turned homes into offices, schools and more, the many rediscovered what life at home means to them. In a conversation with Jeff Fromm from Forbes, Mary Lunghi, U.S. Country Consumer and Customer Insights Manager at IKEA, discussed consumer trends and the shift in perspective more than a year into the pandemic.
As a kid, the only thing better than getting a new toy is designing your own toy from scratch! 🧸 As a part of our annual Soft Toy Drawing Competition, five young artists’ toy designs were selected to be part of our limited-edition 2021 SAGOSKATT collection. These young creatives unleashed their imaginations to create the soft toys of their dreams and were chosen out of 66,000 submissions across the
