What happens when hydrogen meets steel? Or when yesterday’s pipelines need to carry tomorrow’s energy? At Kent, we’re helping clients answer these questions every day. Whether designing new infrastructure or repurposing existing assets, our hydrogen specialists combine materials science with practical engineering to ensure pipelines remain safe, reliable and future-fit. This year, David Baxter will address these challenges at Gastech Exhibition & Conference Exhibition & Conference. He’ll discuss how hydrogen impacts material properties, and the critical role engineering assessments play in determining the suitability of pipeline systems, whether you're building new or adapting what’s already in the ground. Join us at Gastech to hear how we’re supporting the hydrogen transition through rigorous science and smart design. Be sure to visit our Stand No. F90 to meet our team and learn more about our work across the hydrogen value chain.
From asset integrity and brownfield modifications to safe, efficient decommissioning, we manage complexity across the entire lifecycle of energy infrastructure. Discover our services on our website.
Some projects deliver results. Others build something deeper. From 2019, we played a central role in one of the most complex commissioning programmes in the energy sector, delivering across five key scopes in Western Kazakhstan. The achievement was huge - First Oil in January 2025, 24.5 million LTI-free hours, 96% national workforce, and a facility now producing up to 900,000 barrels per day. But for our team in Kazakhstan, this campaign meant even more. It was about knowledge shared, people empowered, and the quiet, everyday leadership that lifts a team from capable to exceptional. In his latest article, David Boland shares what this project taught him about legacy, trust, and the power of local teams to deliver lasting impact. For this project, success wasn’t just measured by barrels or deadlines, but by the legacy we left behind. Read the full article on our website.
We recently launched a 6-month reverse mentoring programme with one goal in mind: to open up space for real conversations across levels, experiences and backgrounds. At Kent, we believe great ideas, fresh perspectives and meaningful feedback aren’t reserved for any one level. Everyone has something to teach, and everyone has something to learn. When Matt Postles, a Senior Structural Engineer in our UK team, began mentoring John Gilley, our CEO, it wasn’t just a programme. From day one, it was honest, unfiltered and personal - touching on everything from inclusive communication to leadership vulnerability. In this latest feature, Matt and John reflect on their experience, and why this cross-level dialogue is reshaping how we lead, listen and learn here at Kent. Their story is proof that reverse mentoring is more than a bold initiative. It’s inclusion in action. Read Matt and John’s full story on our website.
Commissioning has long been treated as the final hurdle in a project’s lifecycle, often reactive and rushed. At Kent, we’re changing that. By combining deep commissioning expertise with cutting-edge digital solutions like CommissionAbility™, we’re helping clients take control of project delivery with greater efficiency, predictability and performance. In his latest article, Andres Mesa explores how our teams are transforming commissioning in the field. From early engagement and smart loop testing to structured data and integrated collaboration. At Kent, our culture shapes how we show up; on every project, every time. We play big, we thrive on emotional agility, we are fanatical about performance, and we’re built on infinite thinking. In this field story from Romania, Nadia Blaney brings those beliefs to life: moving fast when the opportunity called, adapting with empathy under pressure, mentoring the next generation, and finding connection across cultures (over a bowl of ciorbă de burtă, no less). If you’re curious about what our culture looks like in action, you’ll want to give this a read.

The push to scale offshore wind needs more than ambition, it demands practical know-how, lessons learnt in the field and a willingness to tackle complexity head-on. That’s exactly what we bring to the table. We’ve had some brilliant conversations at RenewableUK’s Global Offshore Wind about what it really takes to deliver offshore wind at scale. From floating foundations to grid integration, our team’s deep technical experience and delivery know-how are sparking ideas across the floor. Missed us this time?
