It's Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and we're shining a spotlight on some of our very own survivors and supporters. First up: Keri, super mom and supporter of survivor Hana. Hana was diagnosed with breast cancer at 27, soon after she had her first child. Today, they’re thankful to say Hana is three years cancer free. Here's what Keri had to say about being a supporter: “Getting a treatment plan from the doctor was a real turning point, and I called it ‘our plan’ and ‘our appointments.’ Once we had our plan, we felt stronger and confident that we were going to beat it. “Outside of treatment support, my motto is ‘make things easy.’ Instead of asking what you can do, tell them how you will support them. Offer to do things, like, ‘I’ll come to your house and clean while you have an appointment.’ Offer to drive to appointments and to help with childcare. Offer to pick things up: ‘Hey, I’m headed out.
