Ty Bryant, one of MTM Transit’s Safety Supervisors in Sarasota, has been coaching youth basketball for the last twenty years. Ty serves as coach, mentor and leader, giving back to the youth of the Sarasota community, which is why he’s this week’s MTM-MondayToMonday nominee! MTM Transit and the Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) of Washoe County are excited to launch a new FlexRIDE transit service area in the Spanish Springs and Somersett, Nevada areas this weekend! We're also transitioning to a new FlexRIDE app for all current and future rides. FlexRIDE is an on-demand, shared-ride public transit service that provides users with curbside-to-curbside service within each FlexRIDE zone. Safety plays an important role in Sarasota; it’s incorporated into everything we do. As a result, we have a very low accident rate! Hi, I'm John Mick with the Sarasota team, and I conduct a periodic lift safety inspection that is performed every 5,000 miles. I receive annual refresher training on how to perform the inspection to stay safe. #JoinMe in continuing to keep our low accident rate!
